Converting Mass Units

Example #1: Converting 1500 grams to kilograms.

STEP 1: Write the value to be converted (1500 g) and the conversion factor. The unit "grams" will be in the denominator, and the unit being converted to, "kilograms," will be in the numerator. Use the conversion factor "1 kilogram (kg) = 1000 grams (g)."
