Converting Metric Lengths into English Lengths
Example #1: Converting 7500 kilometers into miles.

STEP 1: Write out the measurement to be converted (7500 km), then write the conversion factor. The unit "kilometers" will be in the denominator and the unit that you are converting to, "miles," will be in the numerator.

STEP 2: Cancel out the same units
(Hint: cross out "km").

STEP 3: Now multiply, and divide:
